QUICK PITCH

This early-stage startup is building an AI patient engagement platform to streamline how healthcare organizations handle communications and administrative tasks. Their platform enables instant responses to patient inquiries, automates appointment scheduling and outreach via phone, text, and web, and ultimately aims to reduce administrative burdens while improving patient satisfaction.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Backed by top-tier investors with a strong track record in AI, legal tech, and healthcare, the company recently secured a $3M seed round. The team includes founders with experience in both tech and healthcare, and the roadmap is grounded in real customer demand with a healthy pipeline of early adopters.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As the third engineering hire, you'll have a major impact on product direction and development. This is a full-stack role with emphasis on fast iteration, AI-driven features, and real-world impact. Responsibilities include:

  • Expanding the conversational AI and voice stack
  • Enabling multi-channel patient communication (phone, SMS, etc.)
  • Building a customizable agent platform for new client onboarding
  • Integrating with various EMR systems
  • Engaging directly with customers to inform product decisions
  • Operating with autonomy in a high-ambiguity, fast-moving environment

IDEAL CANDIDATE

This role is best suited for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, enjoys building from scratch, and wants meaningful ownership. You’ll succeed if:

  • You’re hands-on, scrappy, and ship fast
  • You enjoy talking to users and refining solutions based on their feedback
  • You’ve owned ambiguous projects end-to-end before
  • You value craftsmanship and get joy from polished, performant products
  • You’re motivated by tough problems and have a bias toward action

This role is not a fit if you:

  • Need highly detailed instructions or structured environments
  • Prefer to manage others rather than build directly
  • Shy away from unglamorous but necessary tasks
  • Struggle with adapting to change or uncertainty
