Role Overview:

The company is seeking a distributed systems engineer to enhance the systems powering its syncing engine. This high-impact role offers the chance to work on multi-cloud and multi-region infrastructure, supporting a global customer base. Engineers are given high levels of ownership and autonomy, from project delivery to directly solving scaling challenges with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sync Speed: Optimize syncing processes for high-volume data destinations.
• Streaming Syncing: Develop real-time syncing capabilities, supporting streaming sources like webhooks and queues.
• Scalability & Reliability: Architect for future growth and address scaling bottlenecks.
• Personalization API: Build a low-latency caching layer for real-time data warehouse personalization, targeting <30ms response times with high query per second (QPS) rates.
• Multi-Region & Multi-Cloud: Expand the backend to support global data residency requirements.

What They’re Looking For:

• Passion for tackling complex technical problems with real customer impact.
• Experience with distributed systems and high-scale infrastructure or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
• Proven track record in building scalable data processing systems, event collection, or data streaming services.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and scale systems through significant growth phases.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $180,000 - $3200,000 USD per year (location independent).
• Equity: Meaningful ISO options, with early exercise and a 10-year post-termination exercise window.
