About us

Clinicians spend more time clicking through outdated software than caring for patients—often 4,000+ clicks per shift. We’re building modern tools that give that time back to patient care.

If you want to build software that delights users and measurably improves patient outcomes, you’ll feel at home here.

The role

We’re hiring a Founding Full‑Stack Engineer to build V1 products end to end. You’ll work in a fast, hands‑on environment, iterating quickly with customers to solve real clinical workflow problems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own the product lifecycle end to end: design, build, test, deploy, and iterate.
  • Partner with founders on product vision, roadmap, and technical strategy.
  • Architect scalable, secure systems across backend and frontend.
  • Own cloud deployments; monitor reliability and performance.
  • Make pragmatic technical choices on frameworks, tooling, and best practices.
  • Establish engineering standards and help hire and mentor the early team.
  • Prototype and productionize LLM-powered features responsibly.
  • Ship quickly with customers; measure impact and refine.
  • Hold a high quality bar while executing autonomously.

Our tech stack:

  • Turborepo (monorepo)
  • Frontend
  • Core app: React Native + Expo (Web, Android, iOS)
  • Admin portal: Next.js
  • Backend: NestJS
  • Database: PostgreSQL
  • Infrastructure: GCP
  • AI: LangChain

Who we’re looking for

Must haves:

  • Expertise in TypeScript and React.
  • Proven experience building and scaling infrastructure.
  • Hands-on with DevOps, CI/CD, and containers.
  • Able to take products from 0→1, concept to production.
  • Startup mindset: bias to action, high ownership, impact focus.
  • Interest in healthcare and motivation to improve patient outcomes.
  • In‑person in the San Francisco Bay Area 3 days/week.

Nice to haves:

  • Early startup or founder experience.
  • Scaled an engineering team to 10+ with a strong culture.
  • Shipped a production app using LLMs.
  • Experience in highly regulated environments.

Alignment with our core values:

  • Open to Feedback – When we ask questions or suggest changes to code, it’s never personal. It’s about making the product better. Healthy feedback and thoughtful critique are part of building great software. We assume positive intent and don’t let frustration bleed into how we treat each other.
  • Constructive Disagreement – It’s absolutely okay to disagree. We encourage everyone to speak up if they see a better path forward. We all want what’s best for the product, and by weighing pros and cons together, we can choose the right solution based on our current priorities.
  • Shared Ownership – We collectively own the codebase. It’s our responsibility to keep it clean, maintainable, and scalable. While individuals may focus on certain areas, no part of the code should be siloed, anyone should be able to jump in when needed.
  • Autonomy with Judgment – Not everything will be perfectly defined, and that’s intentional. This is an opportunity to take initiative, propose solutions, and move things forward, while also knowing when to ask for input or support.
  • Ownership of Output (AI Included) - Whether written by you or generated by AI, your commits are your responsibility. Review it, refine it, and stand behind it. We ship intentional work, not blindly generated output.

What we offer

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Unlimited time off, with a minimum of 3 weeks per year encouraged.
  • $500 monthly wellness stipend.
  • Immigration sponsorship, as long as your situation allows you to start within roughly the next month.

Our founders:

Our founders have prior successful exits in health tech and augmented reality, including an acquisition by $76B NASDAQ-100 component Cadence Design Systems. They have advised on over $78B in healthcare and life sciences M&A and hold master’s degrees in healthcare management and biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. Their experience spans Intermountain Health ($12B health system), Neuralink, Meta, Becton Dickinson, Under Armour, Deloitte, KPMG, Cadence, and 500 Startups, with a shared passion for bringing new technologies to market that help people around the world.
