The role: Senior Software Engineer, Backend & Platform (Remote US/Canada)

A generalist, high-agency engineer on a team of ~7 engineers. You'll own high-risk, high-impact projects end to end with minimal hand-holding and shape the product alongside the founding team.

• Own and ship product features from problem scoping through backend implementation to production
• Design and ship LLM agents that reason over large, messy, real-world organizational data, and make them reliable enough to trust
• Make key decisions on architecture, data modeling, APIs and tooling, and set the engineering quality bar
• Support growing enterprise deployments ranging from hundreds to thousands of employees

What they're looking for

• 5+ years of backend experience building customer-facing products
• Startup DNA: top-tier startups (Series B or earlier) or founder experience
• Product mindset that ties technical decisions to business impact
• Thrives in early-stage ambiguity with high ownership and fast iteration
• US citizen or Green Card holder (no visa sponsorship)

Tech: Python, SQL, distributed systems, API design, LLMs, RAG, agentic frameworks

Compensation: $190K-$300K base + meaningful founding-level equity

Location: Remote (US/Canada) with periodic trips to the San Francisco or Toronto offices
