Position Title: Founding Lead Software Engineer

Join an innovative startup team dedicated to revolutionizing website optimization through autonomous processes. You will play a key role in developing a cutting-edge Generative-AI platform aimed at enhancing website performance, increasing conversions, sales, and revenue. Our goal is to automate tasks previously requiring numerous engineers, designers, and data scientists, starting with the eCommerce sector and expanding further.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a well-funded startup at its early stages, where you'll have significant influence in shaping the company's technical direction.

Location: New York City, Hybrid

Responsibilities:

- Lead the design, develop, and testing of highly scalable and reliable systems to power platform features.

- Wear multiple hats and enjoy a high level of autonomy.

- Contribute to shaping the team, product, and company's future.

- Engage in extensive research alongside system development to address previously unsolved challenges.

- Potentially influence future website and digital product development methodologies.

Key Tasks:

- Architect and build large-scale databases detailing website structures and optimizations.

- Implement AI models for predictive website improvement.

- Architect and train Language Learning Models (LLMs).

- Develop a large-scale intelligence platform to feed data into AI models.

- Construct a frontend (JS) experimentation framework for autonomous, large-scale operations.

- Establish processes and practices supporting team scalability.

Qualifications:

-Experience functioning as a lead of more senior.

- Startup DNA

- Strong proficiency in software development.

- 7+ years of full-stack experience preferred.

- Experience leading development teams or managing significant projects.

- Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, math, or equivalent experience.

- Familiarity with Python, JS, and AWS preferred.

- Passion for AI technologies.

Bonus Points:

- Prior startup experience. (Ideally founding engineer experience)

- Experience with ML model training and maintenance in production environments.
