COMPANY OVERVIEW

The SnapMagic company's existing platform (previously known as SnapEDA) is the leading library tool for electrical engineers, helping 1.5 million engineers each year design products like drones, electric cars, and virtual reality headsets 10x faster. This means SnapMagic Copilot is being built on a proprietary dataset of over 10 million components, schematic symbols, and footprints.

POSITION OVERVIEW

What You Will Be Doing

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build and improve code across the entire stack (PostgreSQL, Python, Javascript, HTML, and CSS). You will practice and encourage software engineering best practices: reasonable test coverage, appropriate modularization, designing cohesive interfaces, and making the call on technical trade-offs.


Job requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering with full-stack web applications (particularly with Django).
  • Demonstrated track record of designing and building high-throughput applications.
  • Pragmatic approach to engineering that strikes a balance between beautiful code, maintainability, and time to market.
  • Appreciation for a test-driven, code-review culture
  • This is a hybrid position that will require in-person work days, 3 days a week

Nice to Haves

  • Experience developing desktop applications using Angular, Electron.js or another similar desktop framework
