Manager, Software Engineering - AI Governance


Salary: 220-250k plus equity

Location: Hybrid 2x per week In SF


As a Manager, Software Engineering - AI Governance, you will lead the development and delivery of a cutting-edge AI governance product and manage a global team to expand the offering. You will drive the technical vision, strategy, and execution of key software initiatives critical to the organization’s future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence within the team.
  • Mentor and coach team members to support their skill development and career growth.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard top engineering talent.
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute software development projects.
  • Collaborate closely with product management to define and align on product roadmaps.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with Python.
  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software engineering principles.
  • Significant experience working on AI/ML products.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading engineering product releases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience in startup or early-stage company environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building products from the ground up (0 to 1).
  • Experience leading globally distributed teams.
