The role: Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Platform (100% Remote)

Design the self-serve platforms, libraries and automation that let product engineers ship quickly and reliably, and keep the platform performant as it scales. Infrastructure is treated as a product, and you'll also build internal TypeScript libraries for developer tooling.

• Own and evolve AWS infrastructure with Terraform and Pulumi
• Build internal developer tooling, TypeScript libraries and shared SDKs
• Run CI/CD (Buildkite) and per-pull-request ephemeral environments
• Drive reliability through SLOs, autoscaling, incident response and observability (Datadog)
• Solve scaling challenges from Aurora PostgreSQL tuning to compute autoscaling

What they're looking for

• 7+ years, with infra/backend experience at a high-growth startup
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node
• Deep AWS experience across compute, networking, storage and security
• CI/CD and ephemeral environments; strong Terraform and/or Pulumi
• Reliability engineering (SLOs, error budgets, incident response) and strong written communication

Compensation: Up to $300K base (senior) / $350K (staff) + stock options

Location: 100% Remote (US/Canada)
