Senior / Principal / Lead Full Stack Developer (Platform Security / DevSecOps) --> the lead for all things platform security. (**Note path to CSO/CISO for the right candidates)


Engineering Team, reports to Chief Engineer


EXPERIENCE

Intermediate to Master (5-15+ yrs experience)

  • Desire to help drive our business and social mission of “protecting life online” by building the next generation of software and cloud services to address emerging online threats.
  • Experience that would fit for this role: a full stack engineer with deep experience in application, network and infrastructure security. This includes securing web services, communications, cloud and hybrid environments.
  • We use techniques leveraging containerization, native cloud services, open source software, artificial intelligence. You don’t need to know them all but we control our environment from the hardware through to the modification of OS and applications hosted on our platform, so you need to be able to jump right in and provide value from day one in understanding the security landscape and threats to our environment.
  • Deep understanding of the most current security techniques, protocols, and patterns.
  • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.
  • Experience leading security accreditations using frameworks such as FedRAMP, SOC, ISO, NIST
  • Security-focused certification(s) comparable to Security+
  • Familiarity with Git-flow/ops/ci, dev-sec-ops, kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure
  • Bonus points for: college degree(s), compelling life or work experience, track record of success, clear progression/links between career choices.


A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • First, understand our customers and their business. Then build against our growing backlog of vetted customer needs. Refining the solutions, eliminating inefficiencies to improve performance and swarming around new features with your colleagues.
  • Reviewing architecture and software designs to ensure that secure design patterns and technologies are being leveraged.
  • Keeping up with Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) and implementing patches and updates to our products to mitigate those vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
  • Implementing monitoring and incident response systems to identify and report threats and make real time decisions to avoid compromise.
  • Conduct regular Red Team evaluations of software and hardware products.
  • Rapid, collaborative development to get products out to the market.
  • Individual R&D, bringing new innovations to bear in striving to eliminate exploitation online.
  • Ability to be a direct customer liaison, providing front-line support for customer challenges and system support and troubleshooting, understanding of customer problems and potential resolutions. As we grow, partnering with Customer Success Managers.
  • Provide on-site support to on-prem or hybrid customers, responsible for sharing insights from customer support and identifying new opportunities for our products with those customers.
